Research presentations are one important way in which the CARD community strives to provide enriching educational experiences beyond rigorous debate. The students below are presenting original student research papers germane to the 2022-23 CARD criminal justice reform topic.

Each presenter has up to 10 minutes to present their paper. To ensure everyone is able to complete their presentation, we ask that judges and audience members save their feedback and questions until all presentations are concluded.

Both panels are judged by professionals, including professional educators. The evaluative criteria include the presenters’ use of evidence, analysis, communication, and community building.

The highest-rated presentation across the two panels will receive a Top Paper award.

Presenters have the opportunity to submit their paper for review and possible publication in the Oregon Undergraduate Research Journal.
