Event planning
A small group of CHC students in GSH is needed to plan at least two public events for the Winter and Spring 2016 terms. The members of the planning team will be responsible for creating quality educational experiences for their peers through public events hosted in the Great Room (GSH123).
Specific responsibilities include:
- Creating events, including choosing topics and presentation formats
- Recruiting and selecting event participants among peer students
- Designing an effective promotional campaign drawing a large and diverse audiences and securing campus and local media coverage
- Cooperating with relevant partners across campus
- Coordinating with CMET to ensure high-quality digital media capture of the event for the UO Channel and university archives
Event participation
Participants are needed for the events in the Oregon Debates series. The planning group is ultimately responsible for choosing participants to create the most educational experiences possible for their peers. To be consistent with the mission of the CHC, Forum, and Forensics sponsors, priority for participation should be given to CHC students living in the Global Scholars Hall.
