As the Director of Forensics at the University of Oregon I invite your school to attend the 1st Annual David Frohnmayer Invitational mock trial tournament on Saturday, November 15th, 2014, on our beautiful campus in Eugene. We offer three rounds and awards for the 1st place team and the most professional competitor. The tournament is held in the Knight Law Center on the Oregon campus. This inaugural tournaments is limited to mock trial programs in Oregon.
This tournament honors native Oregonian David Frohnmayer who graduated magna cum laude from Harvard, attended Oxford as a Rhodes Scholar, and earned his law degree from Berkeley. He was elected the Oregon Attorney General in 1984 and was re-elected four years later as the nominee of both parties. Frohnmayer was the President of the University of Oregon from 1994 until 2009 and remains a Professor in the Honors College and the Knight Law Center.
Tournament registration
- The fee is $85 per school before November 1 and $100 after that date.
- Each school should bring one judge. If you cannot locate a qualified judge you may pay a judge fee of $100 and we will find a qualified judge for you.
- UO regulations require visiting teams submit the first and last names of every person who will be on campus for the tournament.
- Please enter the tournament by using forensicstournament.net , the tournament is listed there under upcoming tournaments. From there you’ll need to create a student named for your school (click add new student and enter “University of Oregon A” (one of our teams for example) — this will be the team’s name on the pairings).
